G&M’s finance attorneys provide lenders and borrowers with sophisticated counsel in connection with a wide variety of financing transactions. This includes traditional commercial real estate and asset based lending (from complex multi-million dollar syndications to smaller loans), tax exempt financing such as federal new markets tax credits, and a host of other types of financing structures. These transactions may consist of a mixture of revolving lines of credit, equipment lines, construction loans, term loans, and subordinated and mezzanine debt. G&M’s professionals also have extensive experience with 7(a) and 504 lending programs administered by the United States Small Business Administration, and are also comfortable with all aspects of bankruptcy (debtor-in-possession) financing.
After a financing is complete, G&M’s finance team of course remains available to help clients document loan modifications and refinance. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our clients grow and helping them as their needs change. On the other hand, occasionally circumstances make refinancing difficult or impossible, leaving both the lender and the borrower in an uncertain situation. Both G&M’s finance team and our Bankruptcy and Restructuring professionals have extensive experience facilitating workouts of troubled loans through modifications, forbearances, distressed refinancing, and, where necessary, bankruptcy restructurings.
G&M’s finance clients include local and national lending institutions as well as borrowers.
The members of G&M’s finance team have all have been involved in numerous well-known transactions around the country. Our partners bring an unsurpassed level of experience and quality, but at reasonable cost for true middle market transactions. And unlike many firms, G&M is open to considering (and actually implementing where appropriate) alternative fee arrangements and hybrid fee structures.
